Lieff Wines began in 2002 with a big bold Cabernet Sauvignon from a 22 acre estate along Auberge Road in Rutherford in the Napa Valley. Lieff Auberge Road Rutherford Cabernet would achieve widespread acclaim and high scores from Robert Parker, the Wine Spectator and other industry publications along with a growing and loyal following. The Lieff Napa Sauvignon Blanc was also widely appreciated.
But that was then and now is now.
They get better.
“Lieff Wines pulled up its Northern California roots and headed south to the California Central Coast and what we believe is the most exciting wine region today in the US.
You can now visit us by appointment at Lieff Alamo Creek Ranch, a very special property with extraordinary terroir, climate, geological, geographic conditions that exist nowhere else. We are the southern most fruit in San Louis Obispo County.
Our first Central Coast production is 2016 Lieff Sauvignon Blanc from Lieff Alamo Creek Ranch.
Please join us on this exciting adventure as we continue to introduce our Grenache/Syrah blends and Grenache Rose. 100% of our wine is estate grown.
Our wine is crafted by expert winemaker Mikael Sigouin of Kaena Wines, who began his winemaking artistry with Beckman Vineyards and Fess Parker Winery. Nearly 20 years in the wine industry have prepared his palate to understand the delicate nuances in fragrance and taste.
We are so thrilled to have the acclaimed “King of Grenache” on our team! Mikael practices many elements of Biodynamic farming including picking the grapes on “fruit days”, according to the Biodynamic framing calendar.
